Why does it upset me when I talk to complete strangers online and they turn out to be tossers? I don't like them, they can't type complete sentences, they have no interests, they don't like their jobs, they can't talk about anything other than boobs, yet I get upset when they don't find me interesting.
WHY????

does it happen the same when you initiate the conversation ?
try a different site if it doesn't... plenty of fish is better than okcupid...not found any others that don't exploit people (i.e. charge lots...not just a bit, but lots! grr)
I've just been in a bar listening to some women go on about her ex who she'd just split up with. Cept she'd been two timing him, and was already moving on to someone else.... thats the sort of thing that annoys me. crazy.
