Pink

Today I am spreading pink. I dyed my hair yesterday and I think it's rubbing off today. I've never had that before. It's weird. I noticed my neck was pink earlier and my headphone cord is going pink too. And my shoes are shedding purple and silver stars and glitter. By the end of the day my office will be pink and shiny! Hee hee.

Pink is wrong.

It's not even a proper colour, being merely a washed-out shade of red.

I mean, washed-out blue, yellow and green don't get special names, so why does pink?

Isn't washed out green called mint? That's a nasty colour too

Yeah, but no (but yeah but no), "mint" isn't really one of the hardcore colour names...if anything, it's a "shade".

So, shades - mint, cornflower, magnolia, etc.

Proper colours - red, blue, green, etc.

Pink, for some reason, is considered a colour in its own right rather than simply a shade of red. And therein lies the problem.

And now I've got a woman asking "don't you like my hair?" I'm in trouble whatever I say!

Having re-read that comment, I think I might be turning into Jeff from Coupling...
